FAQs

What are Half Sets and Full Sets?

Custom made press on nails will be made in either a "half set," which consists of 10 nails in total, or a "full set" of nails, which consists of 20 nails total. A Full Set allows our customers to have 2 separate sets of the same nail design to be used at 2 separate times as desired by our customers. A Full Set also allows to have an extra nail or nails at hand if needed by the customer.

What Style of Nails do you offer?

We offer options in Long Coffin, Long Stiletto, Long Square, Medium Coffin, Medium Stiletto, Medium Square, Medium Almond, Short Coffin, Short Stiletto and Short Square. ***The majority of our designs will have all options available, but not all nail designs will have all of these nail styles as options depending on nail design - not all designs are well suited for specific nail style/shape, especially when dealing with short nail styles***

What if my nails don't fit?

Due to the nature of handmade, custom nails, we cannot be held responsible for improper sizing. It is extremely important that you properly measure your NATURAL nails. Please visit our Sizing Guide page for more details on how you can properly size your nails. If you have any further questions, please use our Contact Us page, or you can contact me at daintyboldbeauty@outlook.com

To avoid any complications, we recommend the best option, a Sizing Kit. It will include the nail length and style you choose to purchase so that way you know before hand your exact sizes for optimal results!

**DISCLAIMER**  PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING A PRE-SELECTED SIZE OPTION

Given that we offer pre-selected sizes, there is No Guarantee that the pre-selected size will be an automatic fit compared to purchasing a CUSTOM size set. Dainty Bold Beauty is not responsible for any pre-selected size that is chosen by the customer and does not result an exact fit. We recommend always placing a CUSTOM fit order request with every purchase to ensure a more accurate fit. Please see our Sizing Guide for instructions on how to take measurements of your beautiful natural nails. Don't want to measure? No problem! We offer SIZING KITS for an automatic fit.

What is included in each order?

Each order comes with the designated set of nails, a mini nail file, a cuticle pusher, nail glue, tips/instructions, nail buffer, and alcohol wipes for nail prep.

Do you offer nail glue?

Yes! We do offer nail glue. They are tubes of 2g / 0.7oz

We only include 1 tube of nail glue for each half-set order. If you feel you may need more glue based on experience or would like to have extra glue on hand when needed, we do offer extra nail glue for purchase.

If you wish to not have nail glue included in your order, please let us know by leaving a note in the order note box available in the cart page before checkout. We recognize that every individual may have their own preference of nail glue, so if you don't want glue, we eliminate the need of waste. 😊

How long do the Press On nails last?

This truly depends on multiple factors. If you prep your nails properly and take care of them well, without being rough with your nails, your nails can last up to 1-3 weeks when a good and strong traditional nail glue is used. Other alternatives such as adhesive tabs will have different effects as to how long your nails will last compared to traditional nail glue. Typically, adhesive tabs are a very temporary option for press-on nails and provide minimal usage for about 1 or 2 days at a time.

Please keep in mind that everyday activities/routines can also affect the longevity of your nails. Our custom nails are made of high quality tips and are not flimsy or fragile compared to plastic or cheap nail tips. If you do happen to have a nail or 2 fall off, no worries! These nails can easily be glued back on with proper hygiene and nail prep for added and longer usage. For these cases, this is why we recommend purchasing a 'Full Set' to have extra nails on hand if needed.

PRECAUTION: Just like any other nail application, whether it be acrylic or press on nails, if your nail does begin to lift, we highly recommend you remove your nail without damaging your natural nail with the proper nail removal method as this can create bacteria underneath the press-on nail and your natural nail (see below for recommended nail removal for press on nails). Once removed, simply clean, disinfect, and prep both your natural nail and press on nail for the nail application.

Are they Re-Usable?

Yes! If taken care of properly and with care, your nails can be re-used by gently removing them. DO NOT USE ACETONE  and DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER to remove the nails IF you wish to re-use them. We recommend to gently soak your nails in warm water for about 5-10 minutes at a time and to use a tool such as a cuticle pusher (we provide one with every order) and begin to gently lift the nail to avoid nail damage. If you have cuticle oil, this is also recommended to use during removal process. If they do not come off on the first try, you can submerge your nails again in warm water for another minute or so and re-try again until you are able to gently remove your nails. To avoid damaging your nail beds, we recommend to be patient and take your time in the nail removal process.

Once you remove your nails, we recommend to file the inside/underside of the press on nail where there was glue previously used. An e-file would be your best option, but using a smaller file would be ideal in gently filing the glue area (we include a small file in every purchase).

Nail Removal with no desire for Re-Use

If you no longer wish to have your nails on, you can choose to remove them using nail polish remover/acetone. Use this option for best removal and less damage if you do not want to re-use your press-on nails. If you wish to re-use your press-on nails, please see instructions above for proper nail removal.

You can soak your nails in acetone for 10-15 minutes at a time and your nails will begin to dissolve. You can use a nail tool such as a cuticle pusher (as provided in every order) and gently scrape off any residual glue. After a successful removal, please use any nail care products that you may have to replenish any lost moisture to your natural nail bed. We recommend using cuticle oil if you have any for best nail care!
